- Nov 18, 2026
- 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM EST
Overview
Mental health conditions and substance use disorder (SUD) often occur together, and employers who strengthen workplace supports to address both see real benefits: stronger retention, better workforce participation, and a safer, more productive workplace for everyone. Join the Employer Assistance Resource Network on Disability (EARN), the National Safety Council (NSC), and Mental Health America (MHA) for a free, practical discussion about supporting American workers with co-occurring mental health conditions and SUD while maintaining a safe, productive workplace. Speakers will share concrete strategies for coordinating resources, responding to worker needs, retaining skilled talent, and helping their teams do their best work.
Attendees will learn how to:
- Understand the connection between mental health conditions and SUD and why coordinated supports matter.
- Recognize workplace resources and practices that improve worker well-being, recovery, and success.
- Connect workers to the help they need, including employee assistance programs, benefits, reasonable accommodations, and community resources.
- Use workplace policies and practices to create a supportive, safe, and productive work environment.
